Breanne and James had to go away this weekend and they asked if we could take care of Annika and Maverick from Friday to Sunday. Annika was very excited to come and stay with us and sleep in her new travel blow-up bed that her mommy had just bought her! They arrived Friday morning with a carload of things they brought, bed, pillow, toys, food. We set up Annika’s little bed in nana and papa’s room and after a full morning of activity, Annika could hardly wait to get into her little bed. We both thought she would not stay long before getting up but she didn’t! She fell right off to sleep and had a good 2 hour nap! Nana and papa were so impressed! After her nap she was up keeping us both busy and when it was time to go to bed again, she was right in her bed, all cuddled down and slept right through until 5:00 a.m. when Maverick barked and woke all of us up! She then cuddled in with nana and papa and fell back off to sleep for a couple more hours. She was the best little girl ever. We never had one bit of trouble and we totally enjoyed the whole weekend. It was Palm Sunday today and we all went to church and Annika went off to Sunday school. We definitely have the best little granddaughter in the world and will look forward to many more “overnight” stays with Nana and Papa. Here are some pictures of our fun-filled weekend!
