Back from a great vacation to Florida with Bre and her family (sorry Janet had to say behind in the frozen north to dog-sit Timmie & Mavie!!!!!!)
James was already in Florida doing his Triathlon Camp so I flew down with Bre and the kids to help out during the drive to Buffalo and the two and half hour flight to Orlando (at least that was my excuse to get away from this long cold winter). I can't say enough about how good Annika and Selena were on the drive and ensuing flight to Orlando, this was mainly because of the "best mom in the world" who got them many activities to keep the occupied during the flight there and back.
We stayed at The Orange Lake Resort, Bre in the time share with James, his dad John (who owns the time share), Mark and Nissim (two of James’ coaches) and I rented a beautiful suite in the main building of the resort which overlooked one the many pools that abound on this massive resort.
Our stay was for nine days and I had such a great time swimming and playing with Annika and Selena. We swam everyday and they just got more confident each time we went to one the pools - the first thing they did in the morning was put on their bathing suits and pestered Bre to take them to the pool. I am so blessed to have such loving and beautiful grand-daughters and a daughter who makes me smile every time I see her - of course the only thing missing was my beautiful wife who had to stay behind - of course I spoke to her many times on Skype and had to tease her on what great weather we were having.
Our flight back was just as calm as coming down with the kids keeping themselves busy and waiting patiently to get back home to see Nana, Mavie and Timmie.
